Pre-registration info

Dear Students,

Here are a few details and reminders to help you figure out which courses you want to take next semester.

EUR 302, EUR/POS 307, and EUR 404/POS 401c are cross-listed and can be taken for either EUR or POS credit. Students double-majoring in EUR and POS should be aware that they cannot double-count more than three courses toward both majors.

EUR/POS 307 is a prerequisite for the senior thesis, but can also be taken by students who do not intend to write a thesis.

Students majoring in POS can substitute ECO 310, PHI 304, or one EUR course at the 400 level for one of the POS 401 topics they need to take.

POS 301, 303, and probably 304 will be offered in spring 2014 (and EUR 302 and EUR/POS307 are offered every semester). POS 305 may be offered in fall 2014.

POS 201 and EUR 404/POS 401c will be taught by Ms. Sabina Hilaiel, a doctoral candidate at the University of Denver. She will replace for one semester Prof. Zankina who will be on leave. We were quite impressed with her credentials, and are confident she will make a valuable contribution to our department. Prof. Sardamov will also be on leave in the fall.

In case you have any questions or concerns, please consult your academic advisers or the faculty members teaching the courses you are interested in.
